Geoff B. Rill
Geoff B. Rill is a trial lawyer at Kerr & Sheldon. His practice focuses on representing individuals who have been seriously injured as a result of the negligence of others. He handles claims arising out of auto, motorcycle and pedestrian accidents, defective products, transit accidents, animal attacks, dangerous conditions of public property, professional negligence and wrongful death. Mr. Rill has extensive litigation experience, including jury trials, law and motion, discovery, depositions, summary judgment, oral argument, mediation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations. Mr. Rill is admitted to practice in all California state courts as well as the United States District Court for the Central and Southern Districts.
Prior to joining Kerr & Sheldon, Mr. Rill was a trial lawyer at another personal injury firm in Orange County. Prior to that, he worked as a Certified Law Clerk in the Hardcore Gang Division of the Los Angeles County District Attorney and assisted in the prosecution of gang related homicides. During law school, Mr. Rill volunteered through the San Diego Legal Society to assist victims of domestic violence. Mr. Rill speaks, reads and writes fluently in Spanish and has represented numerous Spanish-only speaking clients. He is an active member of the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association and the Orange County Bar Association.
Mr. Rill graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2010, where he excelled in oral advocacy and was awarded for his pro bono legal service. Prior to that, he attended the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he graduated with a degree in Politics and a minor in History. At Santa Cruz, Mr. Rill was the Captain of the Surf Team and was a member of the golf team at Cabrillo College. In his free time, Mr. Rill enjoys surfing and golfing throughout southern California. He and his wife live in their hometown of Newport Beach.
